1.1 Greater uptake of best practice and innovative technology
e.g. through CITTgroups, workshops, field days, seminars and study tours.
1.2 Provide high quality industry data
e.g. planting statistics, property plans, crop forecasts and market conditions.
1.3 Development of generic and targeted promotional strategies
e.g. Assist development of Blood Orange Group and Melbourne Citrus Committee and support and evaluate the National Industry Orange Campaign.
1.4 Risk minimization strategies for growers
e.g. OH&S, irrigation efficiency, financial benchmarking and use of market intelligence.
Our Industry
2.1 Plan, fund and facilitate market development and maintenance
e.g. through Fruit Fly Area Freedom, Food Safety, Quality Assurance and AQIS protocols.
2.2 Instigate market driven research and development, through the identification of relevant projects and funding sources.
2.3 Liaison with other industry organizations
e.g. Collaborate with ACG, SCG etc. to enhance strategic development and maximise efficient use of resources.
2.4 Promote industry awareness of required management and accreditation systems
e.g. chemical residue testing, export protocols, Environmental Management and fruit fly road blocks.

e.g. development of industry leaders; deputations/information on industry issues and submissions to government.

e.g. development of a communication plan, grower consultation and stakeholder liaison.

e.g. professional development of staff and board members, organizational risk management strategies and review of financial and IT systems. Effective statutory reporting
e.g. Board Meetings, Auditor General Requirements, annual reporting to parliament and compliance with the Agricultural Industry Development Act.
